Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)
Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) restores testosterone to normal levels in men with confirmed low testosterone, relieving symptoms such as fatigue, low libido, and loss of muscle mass, while protecting long-term bone and metabolic health.
Delivery methods
- testosterone gels applied daily to the skin;
- injections given at intervals from weekly to every few months;
- other delivery methods depending on individual circumstances.
What we offer
- confirmation of diagnosis before starting treatment;
- discussion of delivery method options suited to your lifestyle;
- ongoing monitoring of testosterone levels and blood count.
When TRT may be considered
Testosterone replacement is considered only when compatible symptoms are accompanied by repeatedly low, appropriately timed testosterone results and the cause has been assessed. It is not a treatment for normal age-related variation or unexplained tiredness without confirmed deficiency.
Fertility, safety and monitoring
TRT suppresses sperm production and may be unsuitable when current or near-term fertility is a priority. Monitoring may include symptoms, testosterone, full blood count or haematocrit, prostate-related assessment where appropriate, blood pressure and metabolic risk. Treatment is reviewed if adverse effects occur or benefit is insufficient.
UK-wide video consultations
Many assessment and follow-up reviews can take place securely by video. Prescribing is not guaranteed at the first appointment. Examination, blood tests and urgent assessment are arranged locally when required.
